Oven-baked Lasagna
Another inexpensive, easy, and delicious way to prepare a budget family dinner is to try the famous oven-baked lasagna; a recipe created in Italy during the late 1800s. This recipe calls for a whole box of noodles and a few packages of rice. It is one of the oldest family meal recipes around. The ingredients you’ll need are a package of frozen lasagna noodles, a package of cornmeal, and one pound of brie cheese.
To prepare the family meal:
- Take a package of frozen noodles and cut them into small piece
- Cook them in a skillet over low heat until the noodles are soft, and then add a little water
- Add more water if necessary, until the sauce thickens.
Then cook a whole package of cornmeal with the cheese. Add a little olive oil to help add moisture to the rice mixture and stir together until it becomes a sticky, slightly runny consistency. Spread the paste mixture evenly over the top of the pasta and let it sit for a few minutes. Next, add the pasta to a baking pan.
Then spread the cheese on top of the pasta and add a bit of red sauce if necessary. Finally, apply some more red sauce over the top and sprinkle some Parmesan cheese and bake the lasagna for two to three hours until it’s finished. Afterward, serve the meal. This an interesting recipe for a budget family dinner.
